There is a lot of wonderful urban fantasy that uses more conventional mythology and cis-het characters. Goodness knows I’m a huge fan of many of those series.

As someone who writes own voices uf featuring Jewish MCs and worldbuilding and magic systems drawn from Judaism and Jewish folklore, I enjoy more diverse urban fantasy as well.

I’m sure many of you do too, or you probably wouldn’t be reading my books. 🙂

To that end, I wrote an article for Shephard.com on the best urban fantasy books with diverse characters. Yes, you’ve heard me rave about them before. There were more titles I wish I could have included but I was limited to five.
